Typically, yes, this operation would void your warranty but just cause you open up the mixer doesn't mean we won't fix your unit under warranty from that point on.
If you open it up and screw something up to the point of us needing to fix it the repair would not be covered under warranty.

That's actually really good, since most companies usually cover their products in those stickers that break when you open it and void the warranty.
