What features would you like to see in Serato software?
Multiple "users" in SSL

Just a thought after thinking about the hide crate function:
Be able to have multiple "users" in SSL, each with different crate configurations. i.e. - dj'ing weddings = crates with different music than club crates. Or crates with radio edits for mixshow djs and other user setting with club versions.
This may minimize large amounts of crates. Some parties require different music than others. By allowing multiple "users" (cant think of a better word right now), you can have different crates.
just a thought. Dunno if this would mess with the technical programming of the program. If it would compromise SSL's stability then dont do it.

Nice idea, man. Been wanting to suggest this for a long time.

Profiles? Good idea. I wonder if there would be a way you could take it to the next level... say for instance radio stations or clubs that have permanent installs. If your profile/crate information was on a removable HD (or wherever your crates are located), you could load your profile through another SSL install. Not to mention, you could update your crates on one machine; save those changes to a profile; open your updated crates via a separate profile on another machine.
Does that make sense?

I think this is a great idea that would fit very well with the "Pro"/"installation" type version of the SSL interface I suggested in another recent thread.

had to bump this....
I really need something like this because:
1) For my weekly residencies - I need most of my collection since you gotta switch up your set weekly
2) For my travels - where I do like a 1 or 2 hour sets - I dont need a gazillion crates and all the songs in my collection - shit gets too confusing now - a different "user" would have less crates and only the songs needed for those type of gigs...
3) for private events - another "user" for the songs and crates needed for those type of events...
I think this would make it easier for djs who do different kind of gigs through out the week
