Hello - When I try to open the mixtape that I saved with the bridge it says its corrupted and that trackdevice of class PreHearTrackDeviceChain is missing.

Its a known "issue" / not really an issue but kinda is.

The fix

Install ableton 8 (also).
open your .als mixtape file with ableton 8
Save it (no need to change anything or change the name)
open ableton 9, load your mixtape file.
Everything should be fine then.

so is this an issue that has to be fixed in an ableton 9 update or a serato update?
to this date it hasnt been fixed correct?

its not currently fixed. I wouldn't hold my breath on a fix or update it be a year before we see any changes.

I don't know who is at fault for this issue. I would suspect it would require an update from both parties. And again, that could be a year away.

Hey DJ eXeS,

Thanks for getting in touch,

This is a known issue, and it will be fixed in a future update.

This fix will be in a Serato update.
Its caused by the way the ALS file is saved by Scratch Live. Ableton 8 can open the ALS file, but Ableton 9 cannot open it until its been re-saved by Ableton 8.

If you have any other questions please feel free to ask :)

Thanks.

How do I get an old version of Ableton? Their website isn't really shelling out old copie
Code:E 12:53 AM - 23 May, 2013
Go into your account there an option to get to older version if you owned a older version. If you have only ever owned Ableton 9 I think you need to email them.
