Do you own Ableton? If not purchase it. Install both Ableton 8 and 9 (making sure you are installing the 32bit version, 64bit is not compatible).
1. Launch Ableton.
2. Minimize it.
3. Launch Scratch Live
-- Ableton button should be visible.
4. Navigate to the plugins tab first and enable the bridge.
-- beat grids and als now become available.
5. Close the setup window
6. Click the Ableton button and open the "The Bridge" window.
7. Go back to Ableton and load up your live set.
8. Go back to Scratch.
ok now you can go into the rec tab, select .als for the recording type. Play your set. (effect don't record), fader motions and eq;s do.
finish your set/mix. save the file. Open the .als file with ableton 8. Then resave the set. you then can now open it in ableton 9. Now start editing you mix to make it perfect :) If you don't know how to use ableton youtube is a thing and theres lots of info on there. You don't need to use ableton 9 to edit your mix, but if you want too (and why would you not want to use the newest version) you need to open the recoding in 8 1st then save it, because 9 can't read the .als file serato saves by default.

thansk for the reply man.
I have installed ableton 8 and enable the plug in the bridge, that's ok.
I see "beat grid" at the extrem left and right where the title of the sonf appear normaly, I don't know what is the beat grid but I have recorded als files. That is ok.
I open it in ableton and i can change my crossfader action (just a thing I don't know how to activate the pencil mode, can you explain to me?)
and for rework my beat match after recording a set I don't know how to do that after recording.
Sorry to ask you all that question but i can't find really good tutorials who explain that kind of things, I'm from belgium and here , pratically nobody are using the bridge, it's quite difficult for me cause I have buy ableton for the principal reason to get the bridge, now I have it but ableton and the bridge are both all new for me and I'm qui lost in all of these softwares.
In addition, do you recommend to record a track in als file, re-open it on scrachlive as an ableton set and load another track on deck 2 and use the sync button for recording my mixtape perfectly? or can I re-ajust the beat match after recording a global set of for example 10 tracks and re-ajust the beatmatch, the speed, etc in ableton too?
I hope you understand all I say caus my english is not perfect I know ;)

Don't worry about beatgrids for what your doing. They only matter when playing live with ableton.
Sounds like you dont understand warping. I never use the pencil (like never have couldn't tell you how to use it).
The pink lines are your fader and EQ movements. You need to be in session view and click on a track, then you can drag beats around and re adjust them to line them up with the other track.
Before you get to using mixtape recodings with ableton. I just you take a10 tracks you like and make a mix 100% in ableton. You really need a good (or better) understanding of ableton to use mixtape. Dont google for help with the bridge, your right there not much out there. But there millions of videos on help with ableton and I'm sure you will be able to find some in your native langue if english not your 1st, (not saying you english doesn't appear to be good).
Wow thats an idea I never have thought of . But I don't think it is necessary for what you are trying todo. actually i dont think it will do anything what you want todo.
I think you should know how to make a DJ mix in ableton (and only ableton) before you try to edit one of your mixtapes. Start with warping. It seems kinda easy but takes a lot of practise to master and to be quick at it. IF you mixed your dj set (recorded with mixtape) near perfectly you should not need to adjust any of the pink lines. All you should need todo is adjust a couple of warp markers to get some tracks you didn't manage to start perfectly to match up. Also I wouldn't put any scratching in until you are really comfortable in ableton. I know theres some issues with the crossfader not recording correctly with scratching. If you want to add scratching I would suggest you do it as an additional track that you record live into ableton after you have the mix down pat.

ok, i understand a bit more. I didn't know that it was possible to create a mix and beat match and other things directly in ableton.
So, imagine that I want to do it, I need to take my tracks from my folder music on my pc and ad it in ableton, right?
but when i will do that, how can I beat match the 2 different songs, I don't know what option to choose to be able to do it in that way.

and another things, you know on some disco or funk tracks of 70's and 80's there is musician who play the instruments so the BPM is not always the same along the track.
Is it possible in ableton to editing to have a beat perfectly the same all along that kind of track?

You can't "beatmatch" in ableton. Ableton just playes everything in time. But you need to set the timing of a track before you can play it. You can just load a track into ableton and stay playing it.
This is all taken care of by warping.
What a good 10-20 hours of youtube videos on ableton and you will understand.

Honestly, if that's the level you're at with it, I suggest you spend a few months learning how to use Ableton by itself before you start getting into the Bridge. There's a lot to get your head around.

Yeah, you're probably right, I can say that I didn't have any level on ableton. So there is a beginning in all things, I must work on it, I understand.
Just one question: Do you think that is a very important thing to own for example a midi controller like the Akai APC 40 to work with Ableton?

It is not necessary. for what you want todo right now. Which is mixtape. But if you had one already it wouldn't hurt. But you dont need one for the 1st couple of weeks.

More reading for you, grids are explained in here: serato.com
You'll need to learn warping in Ableton AND Beat Gridding in Scratch Live. They're a similar idea at their core, but are achieved quite differently.
