Organizing A Digital Music Library by Josh Lloyd, Serato
Organizing A Digital Music Library
Analyze your process for building your library
And evaluate it.
This could be as simple as:
Some points to consider are:
- What are the ways music comes to be on your computer?
- Do you want ALL your music in Scratch Live?
- Should you have an evaluation stage for new music before spending time organizing and importing it?
- Do you sometimes get music in incompatible formats or of an unacceptable quality?
- Consider if your process is complex enough to warrant mapping out on paper, or in a flow chart.
- Periodically re-evalute this process
Once you have an idea about how you should be dealing with your music, you can move on to actually organizing it.
